EM Pulse Podcast™

My Role Is Doctor

Listen Later

This is the first episode in a multi-part series on women in emergency medicine. Being a woman in medicine, and our specialty specifically, is both challenging and rewarding. Over the next several episodes, we’ll explore how the experience of being an EM physician differs somewhat from that of our male colleagues. We’ll discuss why it’s important to identify and address these differences, and how both women and men can drive progress. To kick things off, we share stories recorded and tweeted by several women EM physicians across the country. If you’re a woman, you may identify with many of these stories. If you’re a man, take this opportunity to listen to the voices of your colleagues.

Want to share your experience as a woman in EM? Tell your story and tag us on social media, @empulsepodcast, or reach out via email [email protected], or through our website, ucdavisem.com. Encourage your friends and colleagues to listen and share their stories, too!
