In some ways, it's good thing when people are passionate about politics. But when you motivate them with anger, I don't see that changes are always being made for the greater good.

There's a lot of buzz about a potential development project in Halifax. Some are asking if it's appropriate to have a Titanic-themed restaurant and hotel complex. And others are asking why it should matter, if it's private and not taxpayer money.

After Monday's testimony and cross examination, it would seem one group sees the trauma informed mandate only applies to the RCMP. And it was apparent, the Truro Police Chief held his ground and then some.

It's human nature to ignore our own bad habits and only see the other "idiots" on the road. And it's easy to forget how driving isn't a right, especially when we're in the wrong.

It was also the reason she was able to speak out about what happened to her husband when it took more than a half hour for an ambulance to show up. And she's also giving praise to some of the changes in policy this week that could make a difference for others.

It's not surprising when people on social media criticize or comment on a government announcement. On the surface, it looks like a way to promote shopping and refund parking tickets for people heading to downtown Halifax. But that's not how others are seeing it.

New restrictions being introduced by the Federal Government may be upsetting to some, but are welcomed by the majority who don't live in rural Canada.

A civil defamation lawsuit is intended to protect or restore a person's reputation. In the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard case, it's led to a lot of media attention but not much enlightenment on the issue of intimate spousal violence. Meanwhile in Nova Scotia, Ernest Fenwick MacIntosh has filed a defamation counterclaim in response to a civil suit. Six men are suing him for allegedly sexually assaulting them in the 1970's in Port Hawkesbury. Many of those men, I've spoken with over the years.
