What happens when “my truth” gets labeled rebellion…and “God’s truth” gets used as a weapon? In this episode, we reclaim language that’s been mishandled in church spaces—especially in Black church culture—where lived experience has too often been silenced in the name of submission. We unpack the difference between God’s truth (ultimate, divine reality) and my truth (lived experience, testimony, perception), and why the two were never meant to compete.Through John 1:14, John 8:32, and the raw honesty of the Psalms, we explore how truth in Scripture is embodied, freeing, and spacious enough to hold grief, doubt, trauma, and testimony. We also confront how suppressing experience creates spiritual disconnection—and how “my truth” only becomes dangerous when it replaces humility, not when it names reality. This conversation asks the question many are afraid to say out loud:Can God’s truth and my lived experience coexist without canceling each other? The answer may be the freedom you didn’t know you were allowed to have.📲 Follow Sacred + Unfiltered - Instagram/TikTok: @sacredunfiltered📺 Subscribe on YouTube🎧 Listen on all podcast platforms⭐️ If you're listening on Apple or Spotify, please rate, review, and follow the show - it helps this conversation reach who needs it.Powered by: @ThePlugNtwrk Season 2 Sponsor: 9th CrownNew episodes every Thursday at 2:13pm (podcast) and 7pm
