It's time to bid adieu to Season 1 of My Vagina Hurts. We've laughed, cried, and spilled all the tea, but fear not, we'll be back for an epic Season 2 in August.

This season has been a wild ride. Every episode brought something new — funny, relatable, and a reminder that we're not alone in this crazy journey called womanhood.

Being working moms and partners made this podcast a juggling act, but it forced us to spend quality time together. Producing this podcast taught us a lot. It's not every day you get to listen back to your friends' unfiltered conversations. And boy, did we learn the power of being present and truly listening.

Sure, we didn't make bank this season, but that didn't stop us. We're proud of what we've accomplished with zero experience and no budget. Season 2 will be even bigger, bolder, and sexier. We're investing in better audio, bringing in guests, and tackling juicy topics like modern dating, porn's role in our lives, toxic female leaders, and much more.

So, dear listeners, mark your calendars for the return of My Vagina Hurts on August 2, 2023. Expect sassier discussions, more laughs, and a damn good time. And don't forget to follow us on Instagram for updates. Season 1 may be over, but our vaginas are ready to conquer Season 2 like the bosses we are.

This week Kelly, Devin and Courtney get into “the sex talk” - body parts, periods, where babies come from, sexuality and more. They share how they were given the birds and bees talk when they were kids, what their sex ed classes were like in grade school, and the role sex had in their teen relationships. Now that they are moms, how did their experiences in childhood and teenage years influence how they are raising their children today? Listen (and laugh along) to personal stories and how they are consciously changing “the sex talk” for their kids.

Note to listeners: Kelly’s puppy was being annoying AF during the recording of this episode, so please forgive background noises. We are still amateurs at this podcasting thing after all.

This week we talk all about big feelings… a man’s big feelings to be more exact. This came up because of a TikTok Devin came across by @ThatDarnChat, where she talks about how as young girls, we are taught that in order to be safe in the world, we must always prioritize the feelings and emotions of the men around us. A simple Google search on this topic reveals countless articles designed to help women find and maintain relationships if they are what is described as strong, wealthy, or breadwinning women. And conversely, stories about how a “woman led a man” on or “can’t take a joke” after getting cat-called on the street.

How responsible are women supposed to be for navigating the world through a man’s lack of emotional maturity? Not surprisingly, Courtney, Devin and Kelly have a few things to say about this.
