This book was given to me as a gift after my own diagnonsis. I really appreciated learning about her journey as I began my own. I laughed, cried, and cried some more as I read. I read most of book within a week, but then went back re-read chapters as I went through the same experiences. Really helped me know what to expect.

honest dialogue from a young woman with cancer

If you or a loved one have battled cancer, this is an amazing book. Didi tells of her experience in a straightforward honest manner. It made me cry and it made me laugh. After reading it I have a better understanding of what family members went through when they heard those awful words "you have cancer". She doesn't tell you how to battle cancer, she just shares her own experiences in such a way that you feel as if you were with her every step of the way as a part of her village. Sending lots of love and gratitude to Diolinda for sharing her experience with me.
