Claire Eastham is an award-winning mental health blogger who has the experience of living with social anxiety disorder. She was 24 years old when she had her first panic attack and was diagnosed with social anxiety disorder. She would go on to have a total of 371 attacks over the course of seven years.

In 2011 she set the overall fastest known time on the Appalachian Trail by finishing the 2,185-mile footpath in 46 days (an average of 47 miles a day).

She has even backpacked 700 miles pregnant, walked across North Carolina while nursing her newborn son, and hiked in all 50 states with her two-year-old daughter.

Jennifer is also an author, speaker, National Geographic Adventurer of the Year, and Ambassador for the American Hiking Society.

In this episode, Lily talks about how she became a WCMX athlete, and how she has used her career to shatter prejudices and inspire others.   

It was at the age of 13 when Lily Rice became the first European girl to complete a WCMX backflip. It only took her six hours of practicing to manage this feat. Since the age of ten Lily was diagnosed with hereditary spasticparaplegic, which causes rigidity and tightness in the muscles of her body. She struggled with the future of her being in a wheelchair but was inspired by Aaron 'Wheels' Fotheringham ( an Extreme wheelchair athlete)

and changed what it meant to be a wheelchair user. She began trying out simple tricks and took up the sport in 2017 after having acquired her first WCMX chair. She was awarded a silver medal in the world championships in Calfornia in May 2017 and in August 2017 took gold in the European Open in Hamburg, Germany. In 2019 she was named the young sportswoman of the year at the welsh sports awards. She has worked to develop the first WCMX chair in collaboration with ROMA Sport.

In this episode, Jessica talks about how to heal from trauma, balance work-life, and entrepreneurship.

At a very young age, Jessica knew that life was short when she lost her sister in a tragic car accident, Jessica realized she wanted to live her life with a purpose. 

At the age of 28, she bought her business called Southern Tradition. Shortly after buying southern tradition she saw less money coming in and realized she needed to overhaul her business in order to be successful.

In less than a year she transformed her zero profits even company into a seven-figure business by rebranding and naming it Zimmerman events. Around this time she became a mother of twin boys and had a daughter. Shortly after her husband became ill, she knew she had to continue to focus on improving her business in order to support her family while taking care of her husband. 

In the spring of 2017, she wrote her business story about how she improved her business in an online course called “The Business Behind the Blooms. 

She is currently the CEO and founder of an online education program called Zimmerman education. In 2020 she released her memoir titled Sleeping with a stranger.
