Paige Klimentou is the Bass player in 'World Sick' - a fantastic 'sad gaze' band from Melbourne. She's also written a thesis on Masculinity in Hardcore, and writing her next thesis on 'Feminine Discourse in Australian Punk/Hardcore'

We have a fantastic chat about the influence of the Spice girls, unintentionally recreating Wayne's World scenes with your parents, and reaching out to bands who've influenced you... no matter how nerdy it may seem.

You can check out her band here:

and Keep an eye out for the new split they've just recorded, which will hopefully be out soon!

Also discussed -

Jai Al-Attas - jack of all trades, master of most of them! From humble beginnings as a 17 year old kid who thought 'im going to start a record label' to a cult classic doco on mid 90's punk rock called 'one nine nine four' which was narated by his good mate, a guy named TONY HAWK... Jai's done a few things... and hes got the dedication to do a whole lot more!

Episode 12 - Doug Smith. Australian Hardcore Stalwart. Forward Defence // Bulldog Spirit // Hard Targets. Get into it!

Apologies this isnt a full epsiode.

KEWL!

You may not recognise the name, but chances are you've seen her handy work tattooed on someone. Owner of Hot Copper Studios in Melbourne, and probably one of my favourite humans on the planet!

Joey Cape - Lagwagon, Me First and the Gimmie Gimmies, Bad Astronaut, Scorpios, One Week Records, Solo Artist... i mean... what more can i say?

Newcastle's contribution to the Australian Hardcore Punk Rock Music scene is a pretty powerful force... and leading the charge is Newcastle's Finest - LUKE DOLAN.

Settle in for an eclectic bunch of songs from the unofficial godfather of Newcastle hardcore.

Self Described 'Jack of All Trades//Master of None' - Wade Keighran may be a tad on the self depricating side when it comes to his talents - but his track record stands up with on its own two feet. Bass player in Wolf and Cub, the Steve Smyth Band, The Scare and Taking Sides.
