Contrary to what most Egyptologists allow, there is a tremendous amount of evidence that there was a coordination of the placement of pyramids on the Egyptian soil by the Pharaohs.  Their attitude was not  "Each man for himself, my pyramid will be bigger than your pyramid!" but instead the humility of a master coordinated plan to which each Pharaoh submitted himself.
