- Case File #3: "That's Not Our Mother You're Talking To" - Kristen's Story, Spirit Boxes, Demonic Deception & Spiritual Warfare
Text the show
Kristen thought she was talking to the dead. She eventually realized she was talking to something else.
When Kristen moved into an older home, strange things began almost immediately—doors slamming, unexplained voices, a child seeing something in the house, a mysterious phone ringing with no phone there, and an overwhelming feeling that she was constantly being watched.
But Kristen had always been fascinated by the paranormal. So when she discovered a way to communicate with what she believed were spirits in the house, she didn't run from it. She leaned in.
Until one phone call changed everything.
"Kristen... that's not my mother you're talking to."
What follows is a remarkable story of deception, spiritual warfare, fear, faith and ultimately transformation. Kristen recounts her experiences with psychics, spirit boxes, an apparent entity claiming to be a deceased family member, a terrifying nighttime encounter, and the moment she began to understand her experiences through a completely different lens.
But the story doesn't end with the haunting.
It ends with Kristen turning toward Scripture, Jesus and the people who helped her confront what she believed was in her home—and finding a peace she says she had never experienced there before.
This is Case File #3.

About Mystery Pie
From the publisher's feed
Welcome to Mystery Pie, where the bizarre becomes reality and the hidden is revealed. You're not crazy for what you've experienced, there are countless others who share your encounters but remain…
silent, afraid of ridicule. This podcast is a sanctuary for those fringe stories.
We explore the unsettling: interdimensional travel, government coverups, military secrets, ancient technology, and conspiracies buried deep within society. These are the stories that nightmares are made of. In a world that has programmed us to forget ancient truths, we find ourselves trapped in a Darwinistic, materialistic age that has deliberately distanced us from the deeper realities of our existence.
At Mystery Pie, we unravel the tangled web of deception, searching for answers in a supernatural realm filled with paranormal activity. Join us as we pray together, sharpening one another as remnant warriors standing against the darkness. We contemplate the feeling of homesickness for places we’ve never been and the longing for people we’ve never met, echoes of something lost but not forgotten.
Until we find the answers, everything remains a mystery.
