Suspense Radio Shows was a CBS radio series that aired from 1942 to 1962.

Suspense was dubbed "radio's outstanding theater of thrills" and was one of the great radio programs of the Golden Age of Radio. Leading Hollywood actors of the time starred in suspense films.

PLOT

A painting in an heiress's room that shows her killer is making her insane. The killer seems to be getting closer every night! The show had a shocking conclusion. Earlier versions of the story were broadcast on "Suspense" on April 13, 1943. + When Benjamin Powell passed away, he named his daughter as the heir to his sizable estate. He asked that she stay with Mr. Harvey Lyon, a lifelong friend, and his wife Laura Lyon until she becomes 23. At that point, all of his worldly possessions will pass into her hands, assuming nothing unpleasant occurs before then. He appointed Harvey and Laura to take over the estate if she is unable to do so by the time she is 23.
