Suspense Radio Shows was a CBS radio series that aired from 1942 to 1962.

Suspense was dubbed "radio's outstanding theater of thrills" and was one of the great radio programs of the Golden Age of Radio. Leading Hollywood actors of the time starred in suspense films.

PLOT

A spine-tingling ghost tale about an elderly, wealthy man and the spirit of his long-dead wife. When rain creates a mist that covers bare trees and white gravestones in an early April morning's dark and gloomy sky near New York, it is said that "ashes to ashes and dust to dust." As the coffin is placed into its eternal home, you can see a gathering of silk-hating gentlemen standing around an open grave, each with his own protective umbrella. The freshly dug clay soil is also visible.
