Q: So, what makes the Nate Temple series special?
A: I wanted to write a series of stories that mirrored the books I liked to read in my childhood. My top picks were usually urban fantasy, paranormal best sellers, and of course, books featuring your classic gritty, pulp-fiction heroes. Basically, anything with a lot of creepy crawly supernatural characters: mythical creatures, ancient heroes, super villains, and gods. You will find that my stories focus on the ancient myths, characters, and stories we all know, fear, and love. Then twist them up and toss them back like an empty beer can.

Q: What order should I read the books in?
A: I’ve written the series with the intent that they should be read in order to get the full effect of the bigger picture; however the stories can be read in any order if you are looking for a quick, fast-paced romp through Adrenaline-ville. I suggest the following sequence:

•Obsidian Son
•Blood Debts
•Fairy Tale – Prequel (FREE to email subscribers)
•Grimm
•Silver Tongue
•Beast Master - March 2017

Q: So, why should readers give these books a try?
A: Because the Nate Temple series is a present day thrill-ride that takes no prisoners. Dragons, Angels, Demons, Greek Legends, Wizards, werewolves, and a whole slew of other supernatural ‘Freaks’ abound in my stories. Obsidian Son has hit the top ten bestsellers list on Kindle for Urban Fantasy and Paranormal. The plot...

On June 14th we welcome back special returning guest, Nick Redfern! We will talk about his newest book, The Roswell UFO Conspiracy - Exposing a Shocking and Sinister Secret..

It's been 70 years, but the secrets and cover-ups are still active....

The Roswell UFO Conspiracy: Exposing A Shocking And Sinister Secret By Nick Redfern
“Those bodies – the Roswell bodies – they weren’t aliens”

“One survived the crash”

“A very highly classified experiment of the Army or Navy”

“The planned use of propaganda”

In early July 1947, something crashed outside of Roswell, New Mexico. It was not an alien spaceship, as so many believe. Rather, it was one of a handful of definitively military vehicles that were secretl test-flown in various parts of the Land of Enchantment.

All of the flights ended in disaster, and particularly so for the people who were on-board the craft. Coverstories concerning wrecked flying saucers and dead aliens were carefully created. The stories were then spread by those tasked with hiding the dark truth. The far more disturbing picture of what really happened near Roswell was cloaked for years. In fact, for decades. Until now…

Becky Ray has had an interest in the paranormal as long as she has had memories. She has been actively investigating the unknown for over 30 years and is a founding member of the team Paranormal Activity Investigators.

Becky's knowledge of the paranormal has been featured on NPR, in the Wall Street Journal, and on several local media outlets including radio, television, and print.

Growing up in Oklahoma Becky received her BA in Speech/Theater from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. After college she moved to California for several years before moving to the Kansas City Metro area. She continues to work in broadcasting and was the co-host of the podcast "The Darker Side of the Moon." Becky is also a comedic performance artist and occasionally still performs burlesque.

Ghosts a Go-Go with Becky Ray is an evening of live paranormal storytelling, performances, and games.
Sometimes scary, sometimes funny, sometimes unbelievable, storytellers from all walks of life share their experiences in this show's informal setting.

Becky Ray is a Paranormal Researcher and Investigator presently located in the Kansas City area. She is a founding member of the local group Paranormal Activity Investigators.

"I like to think of myself as a skeptic, in that I have an open mind. I do not go into an investigation with any preset ideas of what I may or may not find. Of course I'd love to be able to authenticate all rumored hauntings and ghost lore, but that just isn't realistic. At the same time, just because I did not witness or have any findings of paranormal activity in a location, I accept that others may have experienced something.
I never consider any investigation closed. I have over 20 years of paranormal research experience and happily admit that I have changed my mind about numerous things in the area when presented with new evidence."

In addition to her work in the paranormal field Becky was the co-host of the podcast Darker Side of the Moon and is a founding member of the Kansas City Society of Burlesque.

Richard Estep and Cami Andersen return to Mystic Moon Cafe! We will talk The Haunting of Asylum 49 - the book, current happenings, future plans, etc..

The Haunting of Asylum 49

Chilling Tales of Aggressive Spirits, Phantom Doctors, and the Secret of Room 666

BY RICHARD ESTEP AND CAMI ANDERSEN — NEW PAGE BOOKS

The many fans of Richard Estep’s books on the paranormal are anxiously awaiting the release of his new title, The Haunting of Asylum 49: Chilling Tales of Aggressive Spirits, Phantom Doctors, and the Secret of Room 666.

A notable researcher and investigator, Estep, and Cami Andersen, the owner of Asylum 49, take readers on a spine-tingling behind-the-scenes tour of one of the world’s most haunted buildings.

Looming next to a graveyard, the unassuming former hospital near Salt Lake City has long been known for a gang of ghosts who like to interact with the living. Hundreds of staff members, visitors, and ghost hunters have encountered the spirits over the years, hearing voices, seeing apparitions and experiencing frightening evidence of the existence of long-dead physicians and patients.

In The Haunting of Asylum 49, readers meet long-dead children who like to tease unsuspecting visitors, and the angry doctor who insists on things being done his way… or else. They get lost in a maze, which is guarded by a dark specter, and learn about Jeremy, who died of severe burns and whose appearances are announced by the smell of smoke. Spirits materialize and disappear in hallways and operation rooms, the baby nursery and in the hospital morgue.

Estep is affiliated with the Utah Ghost Organization, which has documented thousands of electronic voice phenomena during the Asylum 49 investigations, and images and videos that contain shadows, apparitions, mists, orbs, and more disturbing happenings. Well-known throughout the paranormal community, Asylum 49 has been featured on the TV shows “Ghost Adventures” and “Paranormal Investigator,” and in Stephen King’s movie, “The Stand.”

About the Authors
A paramedic and volunteer firefighter by day and a paranormal investigator by night, Richard Estep has spent the past two decades investigating claims of the paranormal on both sides of the Atlantic, and has spent time in some of the most haunted places on earth. He is the Director of the Boulder County Paranormal Research Society (BCPRS).

A frequent speaker at British and American paranormal-related conventions, the author has appeared in video segments for About.com and in the documentary film, “The Ghosts of Elitch Theatre.”

Cami Andersen is co-owner of the Old Tooele Valley Hospital, which houses Asylum 49. She has been investigating claims of paranormal activity in homes and businesses across Utah and the surrounding states for more than a decade, while continuing research into the spirits at Asylum 49.

Claims and counter-claims. Accusations and allegations. NSA spying and suppressed evidence. Cover-ups and threats. Documented connections and intrigue. Suggestions of a New World Order. Are we to believe the coincidences are mere chance? Might the paranoid be on to something? Who really holds the levers of power? History admonishes us to be vigilant of hidden plots and nefarious agendas of governments and the powerful.

Shedding light onto sometimes sinister and coercive groups, Secret Societies: The Complete Guide to Histories, Rites, and Rituals is packed with details on nearly 200 organizations, their histories, found members, backgrounds, and suspected conspiracies. It uncovers and examines the hidden, overlooked, and buried history of some of the most notorious groups, including the Illuminati, the Freemasons, Skull and Bones, World Bankers, the Secret Government, and extraterrestrial invaders, to name a few.

Tracing the chilling and corrosive affects of powerful cliques and their plots, it exposes their deep reach into the operations of today's world. Providing gripping details, presenting the facts, and letting the reader decide, this revealing work probes the hidden agendas and agreements of secret cabals and associations. Along the way, it debunks myths and presents the evidence on an invisible world of influence and power.

Please join Travis and Wendy as we interview a favorite, returning guest, Linda S Godfrey.. We will talk about her newest book, Monsters Among Us, as well as some of her other books and unknown creatures.

LINDA S. GODFREY is one of America's foremost authorities on modern-day monsters. She is the author of over a dozen books on werewolves, hauntings, and the paranormal, including Real Wolfmen: True Encounters in Modern America, American Monsters: A History of Monster Lore, Legends, and Sightings in America, and Weird Michigan. Godfrey has appeared on many national TV shows such as The History Channel's Monster Quest, Inside Edition, and Sean Hannity, and has been a guest on radio shows such as Coast to Coast AM.

MONSTERS AMONG US
An Exploration of Otherworldly Bigfoots, Wolfmen, Portals, Phantoms, and Odd Phenomena

By Linda Godfrey

Many scoff at the idea of unexplained phenomena, dismissing notions such as bigfoot, ghosts, and UFOs as fanciful objects of overactive imaginations. Yet, when pressed, most people will divulge that either they or someone they are close to have experienced something that defies explanation. Usually only entrusted to their inner circle of confidants, these tales almost always stay closely guarded.
Author Linda Godfrey (Real Wolfmen, Weird Michigan, etc.) has heard numerous unimaginable and bizarre accounts. One of America’s foremost authorities on modern-day monsters, Godfrey’s intensive research spanning twenty-three years has unearthed a repository of chilling tales from reliable eyewitnesses. In MONSTERS AMONG US: An Exploration of Otherworldly Bigfoots, Wolfmen, Portals, Phantoms, and Odd Phenomena (A TarcherPerigee paperback, on sale October 11, 2016), she shares some of these inexplicable reports, including:
• A woman’s transformation into a wolf-like creature – in front of a church congregation of 200
• A virtually transparent, 8-foot creature – seen by nearly fifty people in one community
• A four-hundred-pound creature emerging from a portal – in front of a pair of scientific investigators
• A shapeshifter trying to lure a girl into a manhole – also witnessed by her brother
Analyzing each occurrence through an objective lens, Godfrey explores all possible explanations and analyzes factors impacting the environment, witnesses, and location. Utilizing logical, scientific, and imaginative concepts to elucidate these truly baffling accounts, Godfrey provides readers with the tools to draw their own conclusions and to reexamine their own understanding of the world around them.
