Eli is very excited this week because in this episode we read a story about an Eli! Eli the lion is an old grumpy cat who learns a valuable lesson— keep some friends around as you never know when you might need them. Eli is written by Bill Peet.

It’s a favorite time of year in our household— Halloween! We hope you’ll enjoy these fun and spooky stories. The first one is about a skeleton who has a tough time keeping his bones together but gets help from friends. The second story is a short story about things you might see on Halloween when you are out trick-or-treating! Skelly’s Halloween is written by David Martin and illustrated by Lori Richmond. Scary, Scary Halloween is by Eve Bunting and illustrated by Jan Brett.

Join us as we read about a cat who tries to trick the tooth fairy! Here Comes the Tooth Fairy Cat is written by Deborah Underwood and illustrated by Claudia Rueda. Eli and I talk about how he lost a tooth and some feelings as well as preschool.

This week we read Personal Space Camp by Julia Cook illustrated by Carrie Hartman. It is a great story about a child learning to respect other people’s personal space; a hard concept to learn as a small child. Eli belts out a rendition of “Uptown Funk” by Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson.

Sometimes it is hard to sleep at night... especially when you feel alone. Join us as we read Scaredy Squirrel by Melanie Watt and Llama Llama by Anna Dewdney. Eli sings a little tune too.
