Based on an Arab background, its the story of Alif Laila, a young woman who after marrying not only changed the heart of a tyrannical emperor, but also saved the lives of many young women.

According to this legendary story, Emperor Shaharyar, grieved by the infidelity of his queen, slays her and all her maids. He vows that he will marry a woman daily and slaughter her the next morning.

Shaharzad, the daughter of the emperor's wazir, marries Emperor Shaharyar in order to prevent this atrocity against the female caste emanating from Emperor's hatred. To the emperor who is fond of story-listening, every night she narrates a story and leaves it incomplete. Her wide variety of stories, takes a thousand nights. Longing to hear the story, the king is not able to kill his bride and falls in love with his begum. The king, influenced by the wisdom of his begum, breaks his vow to women and finally becomes happy with his begum.
