This episode is all about the use (and lack of use) of colour in modern-day black+white films. The films we watched for this week's episode were Robert Eggers's "The Lighthouse" (2019) and Robert Rodriguez's and Frank Miller's, "Sin City" (2005). We also catch up on the media we've consumed over the week, like Season 4 of Rick and Morty and Shia LeBeouf's "Honey boy" (2019).

In this week's discussion, we take two very different movies and see how they thematically compare. True Grit (2010) by the Coen Brothers and La Haine (1995) by Mathieu Kassovitz. We begin with our weekly catchup on a Netflix documentary we both saw this week, 'Don't Fuck With Cats'. This episode brings us into Chanyi's desire to explore the western genre, beginning with a talk about 'True Grit'. Then, drawing comparisons to one of Sid's all-time favourite "film-school films". 'La Haine'. We both learn a lot from these films and share some of that insight here.
