Carl "Sargon of Akkad" Benjamin is a popular independent Vlogger with nearly 700,000 subscribers on YouTube. A skeptic of ideologies both theological and political, his channel is dedicated to rational arguments backed by evidence. Sometimes a polemicist, at other times soft spoken, Sargon of Akkad has created a considerable amount of content regarding skeptical thought.

Sargon discusses why certain media sources have labeled him as an "alt right" personality. We also discuss Sargon's Twitter account and why it was disabled. We also learn about Sargon's "Joe Rogan Experience" and how that came about.

Matt Kirshen has been a stand-up comedian since the tail end of 2001, has performed in over 20 countries, and has been seen on such television shows as Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, The Nerdist on BBC America and Last Comic Standing, where he was a Season 5 finalist.

With his British accent and his "maths" degree from Cambridge University, Matt Kirshen lends some much-needed gravitas to the proceedings. Matt is currently writing for the Jim Jefferies Show on Comedy Central and co-hosts the very funny and intelligent Probably Science podcast. Seamus and John from the Free Thought podcast joins us for part two of our conversation on religion, politics and entertainment. Part one of our conversation can be heard on their channel. Seamus is a former law enforcement officer turned atheist activist. He grew up as a believer in Christianity and became a member of the Church of Christ. After having a moment of clarity (which involved having to be medically revived from death), Seamus found his way to reason and a secular view of the world. He then created his own podcast to promote free thought and positive atheism known as ‘The Free Thought Prophet.’ Seamus is also a member of Secular Student Alliance. He has a BA in Criminology with a minor in Psychology, a musician and is a proud single father.

John Hamill grew up in Belfast but now lives south of the Border in the Republic of Ireland, with his wife and four children. He is currently a member of the National Executive at Atheist Ireland and he has previously served as Secretary of Atheist Alliance International. His work at Atheist Ireland has included a number of campaigns, including bringing to an end the practice of Irish universities in awarding without tender, millions of €uros in public money annually to the Roman Catholic Church for chaplaincy services. He also participated in the first ever formal meeting between the sitting Irish Prime Minister and an atheist advocacy group.

Author Mike Lawrence is an atheist author and activist that is a proponent of the separation of church and state and opposes childhood religious indoctrination. Mike also writes and produces videos on the mythicist position arguing that the Jesus of the gospels did not exist. We discuss his work in the UK as an atheist activist as well as hes many years of research into whether or not Jesus existed. Ali A. Rizvi is a Pakistani-Canadian writer, physician, and musician who resides in Toronto. He has recently completed his first book, The Atheist Muslim.

Ali grew up in Libya, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan, as part of a progressive Muslim family, before he moved permanently to Canada in his twenties. As a physician, he trained in pathology (with fellowship in oncologic pathology) at SUNY Buffalo and the Roswell Park Cancer Institute, and also holds a master of science degree in biochemistry from Ontario’s McMaster University. In 2011, he switched his career to medical communications so he could focus more on his writing. Ali is an avid and vocal advocate for secularism, science, and reform, particularly in the Muslim community. He is a regular contributor to The Huffington Post, and also plays with a rock band in Toronto.
