What began with strange tracks, eerie vocalizations, wood knocks, and mysterious glyphs eventually turned into repeated face-to-face sightings of a massive Bigfoot crossing her yard.

But this isn’t just a typical Sasquatch encounter.

Janet says the sightings seem connected to solar activity, that she made direct eye contact with the creature, and that she experienced what many in the Bigfoot world call mind speak. According to Janet, the being even identified itself by name.

On this episode of Myths, Monsters, and Mullets, I sit down with Kornbread (Mark)—a country rap artist out of Wood River, Illinois—about a night that still doesn’t make sense.

On October 25, 2024, Kornbread was alone at a remote campground outside Sullivan, Missouri near Greystone Bathhouse when he heard footsteps moving in a gravel lot… and then saw it: a pale, unbelievably skinny crawler with long arms and shorter back legs, moving low behind a brush pile near a creek crossing.

But it didn’t stop there.

Back at camp, a motion light started acting wrong—like the ambient light was being absorbed—and a car’s headlights seemed to disappear behind a bend. Later, while reviewing video, he noticed something else entirely: a head peeking from behind a tree… with a glowing blue eye.

On tonight’s episode of Myths, Monsters, and Mullets, I’m joined by Rye (Codega’s Codex of Curiosities)—and this one gets weird fast.

Rye walks us through a lifetime of high strangeness: an out-of-body moment as a kid, a “grandma” lookalike at the computer, escalating activity after a Ouija board, and a shadow figure hovering above his bed with glowing red eyes.
Then the story turns into something else entirely: Rye describes an optical-migraine-style visual event that becomes a triangle “portal”—and what he sees on the other side looks like a rust-brown, post-apocalyptic industrial world.
