The Ancient Magus Bride Theme (Piano Version) by Myuu

Writer Justin Pidcock commissioned me to compose a song for one of his upcoming stories. It is like a dark 80's tv show song with lots of synthesizers to create an otherworldly feeling.

All of the darkness -- magic, demons, monsters, etc, exist, hidden from society at large.

The characters are members of "The Order", a secret society which hunts them down and keeps them in check as best they can.

Life in The Order is short, violent, and depressing, as members fight to hold back a tide that can't truly be stopped.

They will receive no rewards or recognition, as almost the entirety of civilization is not only unaware, but completely incapable of even being aware in the first place.

Their only solace is the companionship they have with each other, and they fight on regardless, as even if that last bit of hope is indeed false, what else is there to do?

If they don't protect the dream that those unaware are living in, everyone will awaken into a much darker nightmare.

Last year a writer commissioned me to compsoe a song for one of his characters. He wanted a song that poured out sorrow, uncertainty, helplessness and longing.

The character's name is Bethany McDonell:

"A troubled but very scared, shy and loving girl who desperately needs help in both life and death."
