The "WHY" I wish to share is that I have discovered almost everyone dealing with what the Culture calls an addiction has the wrong "WHY" as to how come they find themselves unable to stop doing what they're doing even though they are clear that what they are doing is destroying their relationships and life. The most advanced solution is to declare one powerless, which usually makes it worse, and then get into a public setting for support or help, i.e. AA or NA.
