Jason is the executive director of the Michigan Minority Contractors Association (formerly NAMC) and the Real Estate Investor Association, Detroit Chapter.  He is the facilitator of the National Association Minority Consulting Engineers, Detroit Chapter and the Detroit Association of Planners.  Additionally he is a Collaborator with the National Organization Minority Architects, Detroit Chapter; and the Detroit Association of Realtors.  Jason has over 15 years in the commercial development, construction, and real estate industries.  Formerly with the Small Business Administration, Jason operated as a successful entrepreneur, having served as VP of Cole Financial Services, Inc from 1988 - 2008.

Jason's background and expertise includes HR, Accounting and Finance, Marketing and Sales, Commercial Real Estate Lending and Investment.  His certifications include being aa BOMA Facilitator Instructor and a CFS Commercial Lender.

Nestaly “Dolly” Morales Office of Business Opportunity, Orange County Public Schools (OCPS)

Dolly works for the Orange County Public Schools as the Supplier Diversity Specialist for Goods and Non-Professional Services at the Office of Business Opportunity.  Dolly has been employed with Orange County Public Schools for the last nine years.  Her contractual, administrative, financial, analytical and networking experience has contributed to the district’s continuous growth proven by the years of successful employment.

Dolly received her degree in Business Administration from the University of Puerto Rico. Dolly’s experience includes business administration, service coordination, customer service and auditing.  As a facilitator she is committed to superior service.  She was nominated and selected the Employee of the Month in 2008 for her department at OCPS, Advocate of the Year in 2013 for Central North Florida Minority Supplier Diversity Council (cnFMSDC) and elected official for cnFMSDC Central Florida Chapter as Vice-President. 

Dolly’s passion is to serve with Integrity.  Dolly believes in investing time to cultivate relationships, share knowledge and provide support with enthusiasm and passion.  Her goal is to partner with community agencies to assist our communities in achieving their individual and common goals.  Dolly’s ultimate goal is the betterment and success of Orange County Public Schools students.

Wayne Barclay was born on the Caribbean Island of Jamaica and migrated to the Brooklyn New York at the age of 5. He gained entrance into Brooklyn Technical High School which is the largest high school in the United States specializing Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. While at Brooklyn Tech he played Varsity Football and ran Track. While at Tech he won multiple New York City Championships; he was also a member of two Nationally Ranked relay teams that took first place at the prestigious Penn Relays in Philadelphia.

 

Wayne went on to attend Rutgers University on a track scholarship and he graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting. He went to work on Wall Street with the brokerage firm Dean Witter Reynolds where he worked for a few years before leaving to become a tax auditor with the NYC Department of Finance.

Consequently Wayne ended up in Florida where he worked for ExxonMobil as a controller for one of their Lubrication divisions. His dream of one day owning his own business materialized and he and two partners opened an office services company in 1999 called Inter-Office Solutions. In 2002 the partners decided to go their separate ways and Wayne with the help of his wife started Blue Digital a printing company located in the Miami Area.

Blue Digital has transformed itself and specializes in printing for the construction industry. Wayne is proud of the direction the company has taken and has given God the glory for its success. Blue Digital has been blessed to work on projects such as the Miami Marlins Ball Park and currently the Miami Dolphin Stadium renovations. Our services include Small and Large format printing, promotional products, Scanning and Document management. We are a certified SBE enterprise and currently working on our 8a certification.

Industry Day provides a platform for Transportation Industry professionals to share with students the opportunities available in various career fields of transportation, aviation, construction, and engineering. Industry Day differs from a traditional career fair by offering information through small seminars with dialogue exchange, rather than by exhibits or booths. The event is hosted by the National Association of Black Women in Construction (NABWIC)– South Florida Chapter local sponsors in collaboration with the Booker T. Washington High School Partners.

 

The specific objectives of Industry Day are:

To give students exposure to role models and possible careers they can consider as well as offering new career choices.To show the connection between school and real life; how presenters used their education to achieve their goals.To emphasize careers in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and other areas of transportation, aviation, construction and engineering.To provide students an opportunity to interact with professionals.
