Nakura's Music

My first Nakura album in a long time is finally here! I originally started work on this in 2022 and planned on it being out in 2023, obviously that did not happen. I had some health problems throughout 2023 that threw a wrench into everything. Thankfully was able to get those problems taken care of and found the energy I needed to finish the album. It has some of my best tracks from 2022 and 2023, some new versions of other tracks, and some totally new stuff. This is one of my strongest releases in a long time and I am very satisfied with it.

The album illustration was done by the very talented 027yuu ! I have been a fan of her work for some time and I am very happy that I was able to work with her for the album cover. The artwork is of my new character, Reiko Nakura, a cyberpunk themed bat kemonomimi girl I made for my Nakura alias. I have been wanting to make a character for my music for a long time and I am so happy that I have finally done it and can share her with you all (though you have already seen her on the Stars in the Sky cover haha). I plan to feature her on my Nakura releases as much as possible going forward.

It is also the 10 year anniversary of Audio Vitamin! I am so happy that it worked out that I could get this album done for this occasion. I can't believe that Audio Vitamin has been a thing for 10 years! It really does not feel like it has been that long haha. Hopefully I can keep doing this for many more years and make a lot more cool music for you all to enjoy.

My Patrons in the Ultimate & Mega tier on Patreon have had early access to a lossless version of this album for a bit. If you want early access to my music as I make it and lots of other goodies, like stems and projects files, consider joining.

The last single from our upcoming album! It is a 160bpm hardcore track with some very obvious Porter Robinson influence haha. The track is packed with emotion and tells the story of an AI falling in love with a human. It is some of our best work and I can't wait for you all to hear the other cool things that will be on the album.

Another single from REIA and I's upcoming album! Things are finally starting to move rapidly and the album is getting closer and closer to completion. This track features another fantastic vocal performance from REIA and combines a small amount of elements from chiptune, and synthwave with hardcore in an happy package. The artwork was done by the awesome HyeNRG, be sure to check out his music if you have not already.

My first Audio Vitamin track of 2024! It is a hybrid between dnb and hardcore, but more skewed to the dnb side than my previous tracks of this type. The track ended up with a weird BPM of 169.706 because I did not want to have time stretching artifacts in the vocals. I used nanobii's pitch to tempo calculator and ended up with a project BPM of 169.706 to have the vocals naturally pitch up by 6 semitones from their original 120 BPM. This is slightly annoying for DJs, but I think it is worth it for how much cleaner the vocals sound without time stretching artifacts. I am very happy with the overall production, I think it sounds very clean and the track is a very nice vibe to it.

I fused drum & bass with industrial/metal for my Halloween track this year. It is a little different than what I usually do with Stereo Homicide, but I think was worth departing from the regular sound because the track turned out really cool!

The track is about a strange black substance of unknown origin (probably hell). If it makes contact with a person, it covers their body and corrupts their thoughts, memories and ideals. It robs them of their humanity and makes them serve its evil purpose. The exposed individual seeks to corrupt others, and brutally murders those that it can't expose for whatever reason. There is no reversing this, and anyone that is is exposed to the substance must be exterminated immediately.

A spooky dnb DJ mix of tracks from my Stereo Homicide alias, performed on my XDJ RX-3 and mastered in my DAW. Stereo Homicide debuted in 2018 and I have a lot more material under this alias than I thought! The title is a reference to how most serial killers keep trophies from their victims and I felt that it is very appropriate title for this "greatest hits" like release from my alias with homicide in the name haha. The cover art is a reference to the show Dexter and also a homage to the cover art from the very first Stereo Homicide release.

Track list:

01-3V3ЯGR33И vs NAMI - The Lurker (Stereo Homicide Remix)

02-Stereo Homicide - Final Breath

03-Stereo Homicide - The Sickness

04-Stereo Homicide - Bog Witch

05-Stereo Homicide - Where Is The Rain

06-Stereo Homicide - It Came from the Graveyard

07-Stereo Homicide - Afterlife

08-Stereo Homicide - A New Monster

09-Stereo Homicide - In Between Light

10-Stereo Homicide - Cold

11-Stereo Homicide vs Ailurus - Final Destination

12-Stereo Homicide & Ailurus - Stay Away

The first complete track that will be on my upcoming collab album I am working on with REIA! It is a really fun track that combines 2010 era hardcore with chiptune. It was already good, but REIA's vocals really brought the whole thing together. We were originally going to release the upcoming album and all singles on other record labels, but we changed our minds and decided that all of it will be on Audio Vitamin! I am super excited to show you all the cool stuff we are working on over the next couple of months :D

My first Nakura EP in a while and the first release on Audio Vitamin featuring work from producers other than myself! This EP features remix work from Tune Down! and REIA, both very talented producers and friends. They both did an awesome job and I am happy to feature their remixes on Audio Vitamin. In addition to their two remixes, the EP features two new songs from myself and a collab between REIA and I that was made last year, but is only now seeing the light of day. The whole EP came together beautifully and I am very happy with it. Happy summer everyone :)
