Welcome to Stories Come to Life. I am your host, Kathryn Lopez Luker. It is with great pleasure that I am able to announce that Simon and Schuster Publishing Company has given permission for this book to be read out loud and shared on Stories Come to Life until December 31, 2023. But of course, the episodes that fall under that special permission will all be taken down on that date, so listen now, while they’re available!
So many people have enjoyed listening to Nancy Drew’s adventures that I decided to record the fourth book in the series: The Mystery at Lilac Inn, which, like the other three I already recorded, was also published first in 1930. As I stated earlier, this recording, for copyright reasons, can only stay on the podcast until December 31, 2023. But on January 1, 2026, the story will be in the public domain, so I’ll be able to reinstate them fairly soon! In the meantime, please enjoy Nancy’s story as she anticipates a glimpse of the famous Crandall jewels. Looking forward to this thrilling opportunity helps her endure the stress of interviewing many candidates for the position of housekeeper for the Drew household while faithful Hannah Gruen has gone to help her ailing sister.
Now, sit back, relax, and listen to this story come to life.
Listening to audiobooks really does count as reading, and there's no better way to relax than to hear Stories Come to Life!
Let me know what you think! Please send an email to me at [email protected]. I'd love to hear from you!
