Megan is the co-founder and CEO of NanoTess, a Canadian startup commercializing nanotechnology solutions in the health and decontamination sectors. Prior to NanoTess, Megan worked as a management consultant where she supported the design and implementation of enterprise-wide strategy and workforce transformations.

She co-founded the Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization at the University of Calgary, which supports student entrepreneurs in validating and demonstrating their venture ideas. Megan's desire for continuous growth drove her to complete two bachelor degrees, one in mechanical engineering and the other in finance.

NanoTess was also named the winner of Startup Canada’s 2020 Canadian Export Challenge pitch competition in the scale-up category.

“Innovation is really predominant in small companies because they can be more agile.”

In this week’s episode of the #StartupCanadaPodcast, sponsored by Mastercard,  Megan explains why focusing on one problem first is important and tells us what that is for her company, NanoTess. Megan also tells us why her product isn’t a miracle and lets us know the most important thing to ask when you are practising your pitch.
