The gang is back! Holy hell I love this podcast so much! Thank you so much to Bryan, Lauren, and Pete for coming back and joining me on this crazy thing called Nanobrew: The Podcast.
On this episode, the gang talks about "manifesting" success along the lines of Matthew McConaughey's memoir "Greenlights." This episode has a little bit of everything - old business, new business, art in your face, beef of the week, and everything in between!
Back in the day Murder Shoes Max leads "Reviews by a 21-year-old" for our review for Brass Monkey. Per the Funky Boss, "This tastes like something Jonah Hill would give a girl in Superbad."
This clip comes from Nanobrew's 6th episode ever back in 2015 with the super-original crew of Jason, Joel, and Bryan. In this throwback micro-content Jason describes one of the big motivators of the original concept that helped defined the Books & Brews business model.
In this micro-content throwback clip, Jason tells the story of when he heard a speaker that would alter the course of his career. This clip is from the early days of Nanobrew: The Podcast circa 2015.
This micro-content throwback from 2014 highlights our concept "Doing business on the Nanoscale: Win Aggressive, Lose Aggressive." The net change is always positive.
Shout out to Brad Sprauer one of the original supporters of Books & Brews that helped get us up and on our feet.
The gang is back talking about the #1 reason most entrepreneurs fail. We were pretty well behaved on this podcast until the beer started to kick in for the second half.
The Funky Boss brings up an interesting topic of Timecop and Ugly Pete: who are we as people? How do we measure self worth? How do we judge ourselves? If people deny the way we identify ourselves does that lower our self worth?
This sounds very technical but most of the time it's fart jokes like you're used to with Nanobrew. Cheers!
Timecop and The Funky Boss welcome the Hoffmeister to the podcast to beef on people who say they want to be trained but actually....don't care (to put it lightly). If you're a round peg in a square hole? No amount of square training is going to make you a square. Move on, be happy, cut your losses, and stop being a crybaby about being a square world WHEN YOU'RE OBVIOUSLY A ROUND PEG.
If you hang in there until the end of this episode you get to hear Jason cry his eyes out talking about how much he loves and appreciates his employees. Side note - he doesn't need to drink to get emotional but it helps. The back story is the gang forgets to eat lunch or dinner then proceeds to drinking way too much and sprawling, long-winded shenanigans pursue. We cut out a large portion of this podcast and it's still insanely long. I hope you get a few giggles and gives you some insight into the history of B&B and how much we love we what we do.
Originally recorded in the summer of 2017 when Books & Brews was blasting off, the Funky Boss gives his #1 advice for starting a business and making a money, which is, to quote Timecop, "Ballin on a Budget!" This is the tip: 90/10 rule - 90% of your time brings money into the business, 10% of the time saving money. Listen for more ridiculous shenanigans, beat boxing, and a blast from the past.
