The riots continued again last night. Many were seriously injured and some killed. Jesus calls upon us to be peacemakers. Here is a short video about that. Be a person of peace.

Last night, May 31st, was a terrible night of rioting across our land. It breaks my heart to see the destruction and violence. Peaceful protest is our right as Americans, but rioting and destroying peoples' lives is not. Today is my call for all of us to pray.

Perhaps you have been following the news and have been watching the protests and the riots raging in some of our largest cities across the US. They are so troubling to watch. I find these words from King David's prayer important for me to know today. I hope you do as well.

We are blessed to have our Florida Conference provide our worship service this week as all churches throughout the Florida Conference come together to worship and praise as one body. Our church buildings may be closed but our church is still in movement in one mission to spread God's word. (Sermon @ 37:04)

In following up on Memorial Day thought, the greater theme of why God allows suffering in this world is an important question. It is a fair question, and many ask why God doesn't stop it - particularly for the innocent ones who have suffered. Here is a short video about our lives and the suffering of this world.

Today is Memorial Day here in the United States. It's a day we remember those who gave their lives to keep us free. Yes, many mark this as the start of Summer, but it is a sober day and a time to reflect.
