A very special episode of The Napoli Rant this week. We had an emphatic win at Spezia for the last matchday if Serie A. With nothing at stake either way, Napoli B defeated Spezia 3-0. However, we didn't mention it much, as this week we decided to take an in-depth look at the Top 4 UCL representatives for Italy.  The panel joining the Raff's, who obviously were representing Napoli, are as follows:

Representing Milan, the new Champions of Italy: Adreano Di Nardo of The Calcio Guys

(@adreano_calcio || @TheCalcioGuys)

Representing Inter, Coppa Italia winners and 2nd Place: Alex Donno of Calcio Connection

(@AlexDonno || @CalcioConPod)

Representing Juventus, 4th Place and first season without a trophy since 2012: Cliff Esmiol, host of Stoppage Time on the All Juve Cast Network

(@CliffEsmiol || @AllJuveCast)

We each give our teams Beast of the Season, review our teams season, and play an exciting fantasy game we call "The Missing Piece", where each of us get to pick one player from one of the other top four teams that we think would have gotten our team over the scudetto hump, or that would help immensely in next seasons Champions League. We had a blast with these fine gentlemen, and we strongly encourage our viewers and listeners to check out their respective platforms...yes even Cliff! (We love you, amico).

WELCOME TO NAPOLI, DR. BELL!!!

In this special episode Michele interviews Henry for a change as they talk about meeting in person for the first time last Sunday! Please enjoy the "In Stadium" perspective of the historic moment in the club as Lorenzo Insigne and Faouzi Ghoulam said goodbye to the home fans. Henry opens up about the experience of being a long distance Napoli fan and coming to the stadium for the first time. Much emotion all round! We'd say Henry's Napoli experience was BELLissima!!! ;)

In this edition of The Napoli Rant, we say goodbye to our hometown boy Lorenzo Insigne.  "Lorenzinho" "Lorenzo il Magnifico" "Capitano". We look back at Insigne's finest moments, we remember what he meant to us and we wish him well as he moves on to Toronto FC.  OH YEAH...THERE WAS A MATCH TOO!!!

Napoli defeat Genoa 3-0 at the Maradona, a match that many of our great friends attended.  Osimhen scored an emphatic header, Insigne got himself on the scoresheet in his final match, and Lobotka went coast to coast and scored his first Serie A goal. Oh, and we locked up 3rd, finished over Juventus for the first time in 11 seasons, and we relegated Genoa in the process.  Could our scugnizzo write a better ending? I think not

We also briefly look at the final weekend in Serie A with the scudetto on the line and relegation at stake, we look at Serie B promoted teams and promotion playoff, and a special mention of a former Napoli player making waves in the Serie B relegation play-out (HINT: this SUPER player got on his BIKE for this one)!

Raffa Rispo alone this week as Raff Biz is off on assignment, so it's an open forum.  The chat is running the show, and some topics are:

Where we lost the scudetto

Napoli Twitter beef

Insigne leaving

New Captain...is it what we needed all along?

What do we need in the summer?

Fans protests: Deserved? Or way too much?

LOYALTY

***ATTENZIONE***

Starting this summer, The Raff N Raff Rant will be exclusive on its own podcast channel! More information soon.

WE DID IT!!! Didn't we?

Napoli (out of nowhere and a bit too late) have destroyed Sassuolo at an emptier than usual Maradona and that plus Roma's 0-0 stalemate with Bologna means we have qualified for next seasons UEFA Champions League.  So why do we feel so unaccomplished? This is what we've signed up for with Spalletti, no? Wasn't this an accomplishment? A goal met? The Raff's have a great show in explaining why some of us feel good about it and some of us feel a little bit cheated. Also...we do award a Beast Of The Match, and Raffa STILL HAS HOPE FOR A SCUDETTO? I mean, cmon man, when do you ever give it up?  And finally, Biz RANTS HARD on ADL, a man he supports, but not in this instance. Find out what he's on about in this episode!
