While sweat is running down my face, I am posting this taj mahal house track. It feels nice listening to because there is a nice summer vibe going on! This song was one of our first demo's made together with talented Indian musician Mathew. It was put 'in the closet' for a couple of months, but yesterday I decided to give it a boost and spice it up a little with some Maschine madness grooves... We do not need no laws! We are peace and love! Rasta Vibration! Lately I got my hands on my man Kinky B's latest demo. His band Luie Lovers, a reggae outfit based in Ghent, went to Amsterdam and skanked away a couple of very nice songs! These songs inspired me to mashup some self-made beats, blend in some rasta vibes, use a hell of a delay and get the dub atmosphere going. This week I got a funny email in my inbox. It was in fact an assignment. The email only contained the following mp3 file attached: (he is briefing me in dutch with a very french accent...) In fact the guy wanted me to make a snippet in E minor using the chord B as well. He will use this snippet for his test of solfege, he wanted me to use midi, but hey that would be too easy. Malayalam is one of the 22 official languages in India. It is spoken by 35.9 million people. The track was composed and recorded in collaboration with Matthew from the Allepy band called Manthra. we have done the tracking together last week in Nijmegen (Holland). A zen mashup video from monks chanting in the Nubra Valley. Hopefully buddha will like. Recorded & filmed by yours truly in Ladakh, India.
