In this episode, Carrie Coleman and I explore the intersection of personal growth, storytelling, and planetary flourishing. In probably my favorite bit we reveal details of a recent ‘failure’ and discuss strategies for converting our mistakes or missteps into fuel for inspired action. Carrie also shares her journey of overcoming cancer twice and how these experiences have shaped her understanding of community, human vitality, and narrative change. As someone who leads with Enneagram Type 7, Carrie brings joy to complex conversations about how we can each utilize our stories for personal and collective shifts.
“Getting clear on the stories we want to own let’s us lead our organizations, teams, families and communities with greater integrity.”

I didn’t mention these in the episode but wanted to share two of my favorite solution-oriented climate resources here.
Water is Love: Ripples of Regeneration Film (the only documentary about climate change that left me feeling hopeful and inspired. The animation about the water cycle is stunning.)
Saving Us: A Climate Scientist's Case for Hope and Healing in a Divided World by Katharine Hayhoe **I appreciate how she moves beyond politicized divisions and roots in shared values and respectful conversations.
I am launching this podcast in honor of Hurricane Helene survivors as we navigate the first year anniversary and as a fundraiser for two water-based nonprofits. I invite you to check out their work + consider joining me in making a donation of any size:
