Pastor Dennis and Kaleb and joined by Deacon Joe Uson to discuss what reopening is going to look like at Mililani Baptist Church.
Here are some important notes for Sunday:
We will be changing our service time from 9:30am to 11:00am. We will continue to live-stream our service for those who feel more comfortable watching from home. (The sanctuary will be open by 10:30. We encourage you to plan to come a little early as seating must be arranged to comply with Social Distancing rules.) Our service will be modified for Family Style Worship. This means that keiki will remain in the services until we are comfortable hosting Children’s Church again.
We will do our best to maintain social distancing of 6ft between families. In order to accommodate this, we will have overflow seating available, as needed, both upstairs (rms 209 & 217) and outside in the covered parking stalls.
According to Mayor Caldwell’s guidance (“Restore Honolulu 3.0,” Section I, Order 5, Dated May 28, 2020), all congregants over the age of 5 should wear face coverings unless advised not to by their doctor.
Until further notice we will not be passing offering plates. During the offering time, an usher will pass by with the plate for offerings to be dropped in for contactless giving. Online giving is still available at MBaptist.org/giving.
As noted in our last update, we will not be hosting on campus Sunday school classes for the time being. We will continue to offer classes via Zoom or Google Meet until further notice. (The details on these classes are listed further down in this email.)
We know that this is a lot of information. We also understand that many may be uncomfortable gathering together in person at this time. We want you to know that we are praying for wisdom and discernment for you and your ‘ohana. If you or anyone in your family are at risk we would encourage you to consider worshipping from home a bit longer. We will continue to support and lift you up in prayer wherever you choose to worship from.
If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know by emailing us.
