In todays episode I take a pause from our study of the life of Jesus as told by the book of Luke and seek to reflect on what we’ve learned and what I have been able to feel as I’ve been confronted with the profound words of Jesus. So much of the last three and a half years for me have felt like a dark night of the soul; a time of stripping away and transforming. I’m not sure what your years have felt like, but I hope todays episode serves to bring you stillness as we all sit with the deep truths of Gods word.

In todays episode we see Jesus speaking the ultimate truth to power. It is a battle of light verses darkness as Jesus tears down the religious mindsets of the day with the pure truth of the heart of God. He sets the record straight and pulls no punches. I hope it serves as a strong warning to any of us that might be lured into faking our own righteousness. May we choose humility, justice and love.

In todays episode we dive deep into Jesus’ interaction with the serving Martha and the sitting Mary. The distraction that comes from a flurry of activity can truly cost us spiritually and relationally, verses the peace that comes from focus and rest can build every part of our life. I hope today helps you crave the One Thing and pursue that good portion for yourself.

In todays episode we see Jesus move from sending out His 12 disciples to Him sending now 70 out, going two by two. The Kingdom is advancing! We learn how their exploits fared and also watch Jesus teach us in the deepest way what it actually means to “love thy neighbor”.

In todays episode we hear Jesus deliver to His disciples the cold hard truth of what it will cost them to follow Him. He doesn’t mince words and shares unapologetically the reality of a life lived with God. We also see His incredible transfiguration encounter and other powerful miracles that display the truth of Who He is. This chapter is convicting and I hope speaks to us all.

In todays episode we see Jesus teach one of His most profound lessons in the Parable of the Sower and watch as he sets a man free of a legion (or thousands) of demons. We also see Him heal a woman who has bled for 12 years straight and watch the intimacy of God on display in Him as He doesn’t miss her in the crowd of thousands.

In todays episode we see Jesus encountering the faith of a certain Roman centurion, setting the record straight with John the Baptist and all who follow Him and teaches a valuable lesson on the forgiveness of God to a religious person stuck in judgment. Luke 7 is such an intense and full chapter. I hope it adds much to your life today.

In todays episode we continue further into Luke Chapter 6 where we read Jesus’ powerful sermon on the mount and hear His words of LIFE that have the power to guide us in all things. I hope it convicts and grows all of us.
