Public criticism over SpaceX's delayed Starship program, acting NASA Administrator Sean Duffy has indicated that the agency will reopen the Artemis III lunar lander contract to competition. The decision introduces new uncertainty for the mission to return humans to the Moon, which has been assigned to SpaceX since 2021.
