We're giving a preview of two upcoming spacewalks on Oct. 29 and Nov. 5 to finish installing solar arrays that will provide more power to the International Space Station.

NASA astronaut Anil Menon and CSA (Canadian Space Agency) astronaut Joshua Kutryk will participate in both spacewalks. The spacewalks will be the 285th and 286th conducted in support of space station assembly, maintenance, and upgrades.

There's a lot of ground to cover when you're building a Moon Base.

From robotic rovers exploring the rugged lunar landscape to lunar terrain vehicles carrying Artemis astronauts across the surface, mobility will play a crucial role in establishing an enduring human presence on the Moon.

After spending over seven months in space, members of NASA’s SpaceX Crew-12 will discuss their mission aboard the International Space Station during a news conference at the agency’s Johnson Space Center in Houston.

NASA astronauts Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway, ESA (European Space Agency) astronaut Sophie Adenot, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev returned to Earth on Oct. 8, after spending 237 days living and working in orbit. (Adenot will return to Europe and not be available during the news conference.)

Following a successful launch on Oct. 13, 2026, an uncrewed SpaceX Dragon cargo spacecraft will plan to rendezvous with and dock to the International Space Station. The spacecraft, which is carrying over 6,300 pounds of supplies, is scheduled to dock autonomously at about 10:30 a.m. EDT (1430 UTC).

In addition to cargo for the crew aboard the space station, Dragon will deliver several new science experiments that could help restore vision for people on Earth with artificial eye retinas, develop more realistic heart tissue models for disease research, and identify new treatment targets for diseases like Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and multiple sclerosis.

Dragon is scheduled to remain at the space station for one month before undocking and splashing down off the coast of California.

Tune in as a new shipment of science and supplies lifts off to the International Space Station.

NASA and SpaceX are targeting 6:33 a.m. EDT (1033 UTC), Tuesday, Oct. 13, for the next cargo launch of SpaceX's Dragon spacecraft to the space station. Dragon will lift off from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida and is scheduled to dock autonomously at around 11:00 a.m. EDT (1500 UTC) on Thursday, Oct. 15, to the space-facing port of the station’s Harmony module.

Watch Northrop Grumman’s Cygnus XL spacecraft undock and depart from the International Space Station.

Flight controllers on the ground will send commands for the space station’s Canadarm2 robotic arm to detach the Cygnus XL spacecraft from the Unity module’s Earth-facing port and maneuver it into position for release at 12:45 p.m. EDT (1645 UTC).

This Cygnus XL previously delivered more than 11,000 pounds of supplies, science experiments, and other cargo to the space station.
