Are we about to make a historic mistake?

Without public transparency, NYS taxpayers are about to give at least $ 1 billion (no strings attached) to the billionaire owners of the Buffalo Bills to build a stadium that only helps them.

We throw those numbers around, but the truth is, this decision is unprecedented. The politicians are doing it, so they can celebrate a "victory" by claiming they "saved the Bills." But what they are really doing is selling out to highly profitable corporation.

Why do the billionaire owners of the Bills want it outside of the city of Buffalo?

1. They are being advised by Jerry Jones (Cowboys)

2. He owns Legends Concessions, which helps sports teams maximize profit (not for the community, for owners)

3. Putting the stadium in the suburbs makes it a controlled environment (like a theme park) that allows the owners to milk every penny (parking, food, etc) for themselves

4. In Buffalo, historically we put everything in the suburbs (the University, the old stadium, etc.) and we have gutted the city, which has gutted the region

5. Putting the stadium in the city will help revitalize Buffalo (the region!), and even the billionaire owners of the Bills know this. That's what their own study says!

6. Our Governor's husband runs Delaware North, the company that operates the stadium. This is all more the reason that her and a few politicians alone should not be making this decision.
