Today we discuss the results from yesterday's primary elections. Nate says after yesterday, it looks like Idaho voters are moderate-conservative. State Representative Judy Boyle joined Nate to talk about her being up by six votes against Scott Syme in District 9. If you voted for a candidate that lost, why do you feel they lost? There was a school put on lock down for an hour and a half because of a loud sound that alarmed someone. The police later found out that the loud sound heard at Wood River Middle School was a balloon popping. Do you think taking that long to check out a loud sound was overkill or wise? Replacement theory is the idea that white people will eventually be in the minority. Had you heard of this theory before this week? It is Primary Election day, without naming any candidate names Nate asks what issues did you base your votes on today? To end the show we disussed the US Congress investigating UFOs. Daniel Dougherty is a senior at Boise High School who has been suspended for five days for having a hand gun in his car off campus. He broke no laws with it, was not arrested, however the school says that because they went into a lockdown, Daniel disrupted school. Nate talked to that student, and also opened this case up to the court of public opinion. After that we began Rant and Rave Friday! Do you think banning books is generally a good or bad idea? Does banning books benefit us as a society? What about for our kids? The Nampa School Board voted earlier this week to ban twenty-two books that were brought to the board's attention for having sexual content.
