God's promise to Zechariah and Elizabeth seemed like it came too late. In the face of disappointment, they played the long game. In the face of a promise delayed, they dared to hope again. Meanwhile, God was setting the stage for his kingdom to invade earth.

When people react in a way that is out of proportion to the situation at hand, they aren’t reacting to you. They are reacting from past hurt. They are reacting out of ego. How do we fly above the fray? How do we act, and react, like Jesus? 1) Overlook the offense 2) Check your ego at the door 3) Don’t let fear dictate your decisions.
