Language and Culture: Inextricably Linked
It has become apparent that language and culture cannot be separated, despite attempts to teach a language in isolation from its culture.
DR. R. DAVID ZORC, Program Manager at the Language Research Center of McNeil, Inc, is an internationally known scholar and applied linguist, Dr. Zorc was awarded the Andrew Gonzalez Distinguished Professorial Chair in Linguistics and Language Education by the Linguistic Society of the Philippines in February 2005. Author of numerous publications, his love for language research and immersion has thus far covered some eighty languages representing five different language families: Austronesian – Philippine, Bantu, Cushitic, Australian Aboriginal, and Indo-European.
