Navajo Derrick Begay won the team roping round three of 10 at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, Nevada. The win earned him over $26,000 and moved him up to sixth in the World Standings in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. The 60th Annual Wrangler National Finals Rodeo continues through Saturday December 15th, 2018 when world champions will be crowned. Cort Sheer, Saddle Bronc rider from Nebraska is winning the top gun award as he has won the first two rounds worth near $55,000 in 16 seconds. America's attempt to separate Native children from their families didn't end with boarding schools. In the decades after World War II, the U.S. government created the Indian Adoption Project, an effort designed to place Native kids with white parents. In this one-hour documentary, producer Melissa Olson explores the personal and historical impact of this policy. Her Ojibwe mother, Judy Olson, was raised by a white family.
