Washington Nationals' right-hander Jordan Zimmermann struck out six in six scoreless innings and the Nats' bats connected for 16 hits and 10 runs in a 10-0 win over the San Diego Padres in Petco Park. A.J. Cole went three scoreless. Bryce Harper hit his 13th HR.

Doug Fister was up in the zone and the San Diego Padres hit him hard in what ended up an 8-3 loss to the San Diego Padres in Petco Park. Padres' catcher Derek Norris hit a three-run home run and a two-run triple against the team that drafted him.

The Arizona Diamondbacks took a 6-5 lead in the bottom of the eighth, but Washington Nationals' outfielder Michael Taylor hit a ninth inning grand slam to lift the Nats to a 9-6 win in Chase Field.

The Washington Nationals knocked Arizona Diamondbacks' right-hander Josh Collmenter out early and cruised to an 11-1 win in the series opener in Chase Field. Yunel Escobar went 5 for 5 for the second time this season. Max Scherzer cruised to his third win of the season.

Ryan Zimmerman tied it up with an RBI single and Wilson Ramos doubled in the go-ahead run as the Washington Nationals rallied in the eighth for a 5-4 win over the Atlanta Braves and a sweep of the three-game set in the nation's capital.

The Atlanta Braves rallied to tie it at 6-6 in the eighth, but the Washington Nationals won it in the ninth on Bryce Harper's sixth home run in three games, a walk-off winner to center. 8-6 fina.

Bryce Harper has five home runs in the last two games after he hit two more tonight in the Washington Nationals' 9-2  win over the Atlanta Braves in the series-opener in the nation's capital. Danny Espinosa added two. Gio Gonzalez "settled in nicely" and got the Curly-W.

Bryce Harper hit three home runs off Miami Marlins' starter Tom Koehler and Max Scherzer settled in after giving up two runs early and the Washington Nationals took a 7-5 decision over the Miami Marlins and 2 of 3 in the series in D.C.

Stephen Strasburg never looked comfortable on the mound and the Washington Nationals' right-hander left tonight's game after just 3.0 IP. The Miami Marlins made a 2-1 lead hold up in spite of the fact that they walked six batters on the night.

Yunel Escobar's fifth hit of the night capped off an eighth-inning comeback and the Washington Nationals beat the Miami Marlins 6-4 in tonight's series-opener in Nationals Park... and Tanner Roark got the save... by striking Giancarlo Stanton out!!
