  • Austin And Politics

This episode week, I have an educational discussion and a lightweight debate with the president of NAACP- Austin Chapter, Mr. Nelson Linder, and he promptly schools me on the finer points of politics and Austin politics in particular. He also challenged me to dig deeper into the policies signed by the current president to learn how they affect or benefit the Black community.

  • We All We Got
In this episode, my play big bro, Dr. Marcus Ex reveals a portion of his past that helped shape his present and provide the foundation for his educational/motivational movement "We All We Got" and institute, We All We Got University. "We All We Got" was coined by Dr. Marcus and it is a concept that continues to grow on me as I explore my role in contributing to my community. It is truly amazing and inspirational to recap with childhood friends and learn what motivates them, and I come away from this Conversation with a sharper understanding on how to help our communities and how to maintain your cultural awareness while transacting in mixed spaces.

  • Fueling Your Purpose With Faith
In this episode, I have a Conversation with childhood friend, Sue Watson-Carnevale about faith and how it fuels your purpose. As Sue discusses her past relationship and situation with her parents, I realized that she was being prepared to handle circumstances and care for her children with Special Needs. Through this Conversation, I realize that life often provides the best preparation and education, but also how to activate your faith, and how your faith fuels your purpose, and in Sue’s case, to have the faith to withstand and conquer the challenges associated with caring for two Special Needs children. And that is not the end or sum of Sue’s story. In fact, it’s just the beginning.

  • Black And The 2.0 Beauty Culture
In this episode, my guest and friend, Nicole Conway return to help me understand the new standard of beauty in the Black community, how we choose to wear our hair and to appreciate the complexities and the prerogatives to express our beauty in whatever way we choose! Technically, she low-key gathered me all the way together! Let’s start our own haircare supply company and make it the trend. Let’s learn how to connect with wig/weave distributors, logistics, supply chain, wholesale, angel investors, minority-owned business loans, and other business tools that can help us enter into and dominate this industry. We must learn, share, and ask for the information to make us successful! Make sure to pick up her new journal, “Heal, Release, Heal” at Amazon and other outlets!
