A chat with Divers Alert Network's Bill Ziefle. With a commitment to dive safety through education, National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI) joins Divers Alert Network (DAN), the industry's largest dive safety association, to promote and extend the reach of dive safety programs.  The centerpiece of this joint initiative will see DAN and NAUI come together to offer DAN's first-aid training programs to NAUI divers and members.

Diving legend, Zale Parry discusses Sea Hunt, her love of the oceans and getting a new generation involved in diving. Listen to Zale Parry discuss her past and current diving adventures! Zale Parry (NAUI #A12) was research diver starring in the television's first underwater documentary series, Kingdom of the Sea, in 1954. She made a record-setting 209-foot dive that same year, distinguishing women as skilled divers. She also starred in the 1958 "Sea Hunt" television series, which generated excitement in scuba as a recreational activity. The popular show began its four-year run on national television in 1958. It generated excitement in scuba as a recreational activity. It starred Lloyd Bridges, with Parry as the female role. During the show, Parry taught Bridges how to scuba dive for the program.

The National Association of Underwater Instructors has embarked on a long term plan of updating and improving many of the services the organization offers. Derik Crotts, Chairman of the NAUI Services Group talked with Host Greg Martin about changes for NAUI.
