In the Insta world we live in it is hard, for me at least, to Navigate through all the things people are doing with their life that I wish I was doing. In this episode Allen and I have a real conversation about how I navigate from comparison to contentment (not complacent) by taking hold of the opportunities I have in front of me today. If you struggle with comparison I hope this can give you some hope and know that you are not alone. It just takes a small change to change direction.
Step 4 to conclude our What Dream Job Means to You series. No matter where you are in your journey we can all use a little encouragement. We talk in this episode what we believe in our lives is what continues to drive us forward.
In the Pursuit of our Dream Job we have encountered a number of beliefs that we have either heard from society, our peers/family, or even spoken over ourselves. Today we dive into the belief "You can do anything you want" and our take on how this statement can either hold us back or set us free in our career and in life.
The best athletes watch game film. The most effective combat units in the world debrief after every mission, but yet most of us, in our career, do not take the time to understand our past so that we can obtain what we want in the future. Step 2 of "What Dream Job Means to You" is all about discovering more about our past career experiences so that we can achieve the success we all desire.
The episode navigates through the difference between a true Dream Job and a Fantasy Job. A "Dream Job" is possible and is not out of reach, but we first have to have the right expectation and understanding of what a Dream Job actually is for each of us. ,
