April 01, 2021Let's Talk about AllyshipTW// hate crimeLet's be honest ally-ship has been a trending topic for years now. The on going injustices only amplify the need for it. But personally I've been seeing a ton of failed attempts. Performative activism and failed ally-ship tend to go hand in hand. They also seem to be attempts to prove integrity in oneself. All in all it leaves me feeling off. So I'm confronting it. Yes that includes calling out celebrities and "stans" who never question their actions. Everyone is deserving of criticism because no one is flawless. It's okay to love someone and critic their mistakes. Now for links to help #StopAAPIHate & #StopAsianHate:#StopAsianHate GoFundMeGoFundMe for 65 year old target of a racially motivated hate crimeA creator is making stickers and donating a portion of the money to Welcome To ChinatownStop AAPI Hate websiteCompassion in Oakland which has a volunteer section Main Street Patrol which is taking volunteers and focusing on Flushing, Queens, NYI will be posting a thread on Twitter of tiktoks I found very informative....more1h 19minPlay
