Colin grew up in Singapore and moved to England when he was 16. His father was a shipbroker, which exposed him to an entrepreneurial mindset early in life. Colin went to college at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in upstate New York where he originally majored in electronic media arts and communication. Then he switched to management with a focus on management information systems. He worked nearly a dozen different jobs before founding Customer.io, which gives marketers more control and flexibility to craft and send data-driven emails, push notifications, and SMS messages.
