Episode Title: Navigating the Darkness – My Journey Through Vision Loss
In this deeply personal episode, I open up about the beginning of my vision loss journey — a time filled with pain, confusion, and emotional struggle. I was stuck, overwhelmed by stress, depression, anger, and fear. Losing my sight was not only a physical change but an emotional and mental battle that challenged everything I knew about myself and the world around me.
I share how difficult it was to accept this new reality and how I felt lost in the darkness, both literally and emotionally. But with time, and through the kindness and patience of my mobility teacher and support from my family, I began to find a way forward. Learning how to use technology and mobility tools helped me take back control and slowly rebuild my independence. The learning curve was steep, but I am better now — not perfect, but stronger.
In this episode, I reflect on my progress, express my gratitude to those who stood by me, and speak honestly about the hard parts many don’t see. This is my story — not just about vision loss, but about growth, resilience, and finding light in the darkest places.
If you or someone you know is going through something similar, I hope my experience can help you feel less alone. You are not stuck forever. There is a path forward — and it begins with one step at a time.
