That's the backdrop of our recent vacation, and in sharing this story, we hope to shed some light on the realities and rewards of parenting teenagers.

As parents, we often carry a picture-perfect image of family vacations, but the reality can be far removed from these preconceived notions. Our recent trip, though different from what we anticipated, was filled with unexpected joys and lessons as we navigated the changing dynamics of family vacations and parenthood. Transitions are at the heart of parenting. As our children grow older, our roles change, and so do our conversations with them.
