Jonah finally obeys God and he preaches to Nineveh. God's heart is for everyone to be saved and he wants us to be a part of his redemptive work in the world if only we will obey him.

God acts and saves Jonah in a miraculous way, which finally drives Jonah to pray! God's actions show his tenacious commitment to reconciliation with humanity.

Our actions can have either positive or negative effects on those around us. We see with Jonah, his disobedience put the lives of others at risk.

Jonah is called by God to preach to Nineveh but he chooses to run away instead! Through this message, we learn that God's mercy is greater than our temporary disobedience.

No matter the circumstances we go through, if we live surrendered to Jesus it can advance the gospel.
