The word 'Japa' is a word from the Yoruba tribe of western Nigeria broadly meaning 'breaking free' and/or 'escaping'. Over the past few years, there has been an influx of families (parents and dependant children) fleeing from the bad economy in Nigeria for 'greener pastures' abroad with many families coming to the United Kingdom. This episode explores the fate of some of these children who have ended up in foster care for one reason or another.
