This week on twitter, there has been a firestorm in the mentions of columnist Grant Cohn, of the Santa Rosa Press Democrat.

For someone who has been covering the #49ers since 2011, we would think his current views are more positive than they are.

During the week, he has gone on long tirades about how overrated current 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan is, and has been pushing back against anyone who says otherwise. Today, Mike and Tony try to find out why.

A dead time of the year gives us just a few things to highlight and discuss.

There has been some talks on this topic going around in 49ers twitter land the last week, so the #NB9ers crew has decided to participate.

In this quick hitter, a few of the fellas sit down to discuss/predict who they think will win various honors this upcoming season.

We often take for granted what players go through to get on our favorite teams. Yes, we know about high school, then college, the combine, being drafted and then even the undrafted free agents... but what about the "other guys"? What about the guys that don't travel that same road?

Despite what it seems like, what is listed above is the "common" story of someone making it to the NFL. How would you feel if we told you there was more? What if you had to do things you never imagined? What if I told you that you were good enough to play in 5 other leagues after your collegiate career, and still had to "tryout"?

Well, today, we will sit back and listen to the story of Jordan Holland. This young man will tell us all that he has been through and even that he's still encountering. We will hear about the twists and turns his career has taken, the people's whose paths he's crossed and where that has led him to today.

Rookie Mini-camp tryout QB Layton Rabb joins the fellas to tell his story as well as what its like to be a rookie going through mini camp. The mindset of someone knowing that the team is set at the position he plays would offer a unique train of thought, so we get into all of that.

On this episode, we get the profession opinion of Dr. David Chao, former 17 year team Dr. of the San Diego Chargers. With insider information of the Jason Verrett injury, Dr. Chao wasn't allowed to divulge too much information, but for everyone else, he says all!

The off season has been a whirlwind of emotions for a lot of people. The guys take a few minutes to breakdown all the acquisitions of the draft and how those pick coincide with the free agents that were brought aboard.
