In part 1 of this week's episode, Phil and Joel make their picks for MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, 6th Man, Most Improved Player, Rookie of the Year, Coach of the Year and Executive of the Year. They pick their All-NBA teams in part 2, which will run later in the week.

With the NBA playoff picture coming into clearer focus, Phil and Joel put their own spin on March Madness by creating playoff brackets solely based on the most compelling matchups and storylines.

Phil and Joel "live" cover Markelle Fultz's dramatic return to the 76ers and also analyze the injuries to Steph Curry and Kyrie Irving.

Phil and Joel are joined by Portland-based NBA writer Ananth Pandian to discuss what's different about this year's Blazers, the culture of the team and city, and his cover story for SLAM Magazine on CJ McCollum. Then, Phil and Joel discuss what is (or isn't) driving their success and if their current play is sustainable in the future. Also, Phil shares his experience from his first Knicks game at Madison Square Garden.
