US President Donald Trump will order the Commerce Department to conduct an investigation into whether imports of foreign-made steel are harming national security. The order, issued under section 232(B) of the Trade Expansion Act gives Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross 270 days to reach a conclusion on the issue. The president then has another 90 days to decide whether to "adjust" imports or take some other non-trade related action.

US travel restrictions affecting the Middle East and North Africa have forced Emirates to reduce flights from Dubai to five of its 12 destinations, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Seattle, Boston and Los Angeles.
